STORY’s Girls Who Code program teaches girls coding through fun projects. The program will provide weekly coding projects for girls in grades 3-5 and 6-12. This is a virtual program and participants will receive a zoom link upon registration
Girls Who Code is an organization that aims to close the gender gap in the tech field. It provides coding activities for girls worldwide and teaches the values of bravery, sisterhood and activism.
Coding clubs are completely virtual and may have some in person meetings and/or activities. Participants will complete coding assignments with a STORY staff person or volunteer. Participants will receive mentoring from program volunteers and opportunities for field trips that give them exposure to careers in the tech field.
Enrollment in the Girls Who Code program will begin in the fall of 2021.
